Under the supervision of Madhurika Sona Jain, an award-winning filmmaker and screenwriter, I work as a creative copywriter at ClayTalk Pictures, a creative studio rooted in film, storytelling, and brand strategy. My work involves researching and writing website copy and brand narratives for prominent luxury, lifestyle, and cultural brands. I have written content for clients such as Sarita Handa, Sarita Handa Exports, 1 Magnolia Lane, Organic Soul, and WeGoBond. 

RESEARCHER

Worked as a researcher for Neelima Dalmia Adhar, an author, on her forthcoming book on Kamala Nehru. Conducted historical research, identifying primary and secondary sources related to the Indian freedom movement, women's political participation, and the socio-political contexts that shaped Kamala Nehru's life. Assisted with source verification, literature reviews, fact-checking, etc.

Under the supervision of Anushka Bidani (Editor-in-Chief & Founder), I worked as a columnist for Headcanon Magazine, a digital publication and creative space focused on pop culture, fandoms, media, and critical analysis. I wrote film reviews and personal essays for my personal column, Frames of Return. My writing explored cinema through the lenses of memory, identity, resistance, decolonisation, gender, and belonging.

Under the supervision of News Editor Soumashree Sarkar, I worked with The Wire, contributing to both editorial production and independent writing. I edited and managed content through the CMS, transcribed and processed interviews, and wrote cultural commentary and film criticism exploring the intersections of culture, media, and contemporary society.

RESEARCHER

Assisted Sagari Chhabra, an independent filmmaker and academician, in developing an archival exhibition on women freedom fighters of India. Conducted extensive historical and archival research, catalogued and documented source material, and worked with oral histories through transcription and translation, contributing to the exhibition’s research and narrative development.

Worked with the Association for the Protection of Civil Rights (APCR) on research and advocacy initiatives related to civil liberties and minority rights in India. I researched legal and socio-political issues, contributed to reports and advocacy material, and assisted in drafting press releases and brochures, including a published report and brochure on black laws in India.

Worked with Maktoob Media, an independent digital publication focusing on news, politics, minority rights, and marginalised communities. Under the supervision of Founder & Editor Aslah Kayyalakkath, I conducted background research and fact-checked information on minority rights, public policy, and current affairs, contributing to the development of news reports and analytical pieces.

Worked with Feminism in India (FII), a digital publication centred on gender, social justice, and intersectional feminist perspectives. Under the supervision of Associate Editor Shahinda Syed, I researched and wrote on literature, cinema, gender, identity, and contemporary culture across opinion, interviews, reports, and commentary, developing research-driven stories for a diverse digital readership.

DIGITAL MARKETING INTERN 

Worked with Outlook India’s digital team on developing, packaging, and distributing content across its digital platforms. Contributed to content planning and editorial strategy, managed video content for the publication’s YouTube and Dailymotion channels, and assisted with platform optimisation to improve the reach and presentation of digital content. 

GUEST WRITER 

As a creative writer for The Scribbled Stories, I developed original content rooted in storytelling, pop culture, music, and contemporary culture. My work ranged from open letters and rants to music breakdowns, snippets, and humour, reaching 50K+ users on Instagram. I also contributed to select projects in collaboration with Disney+ Hotstar, HarperCollins, and Netflix.
